One thought on “Paul Washer’s “other gospel which is not another” evaluated”
So many lately seem to be preaching the idea that “repentance” is the good work that saves, and that repenting means “turning from your sin.”
It is important for Biblical preachers to stand strong and explain to people that “repent” means to change the mind and to trust Christ for salvation. You cannot turn from your sin. You don’t have the power to do that. You need Jesus. You need grace. Those who preach “turn from your sins and be forgiven” have fallen away from grace and are preaching against the gospel. If those who hear them are saved, it will be in spite of their message, not because of it.
