In Luke 22:34-48, still more of the events in the upper room unfold, shaping Peter and his immediate future. We learn with him the proper humility and proper understanding of how desperate is our need of Christ to enable us to stand for Him. Christ also shows us great encouragement in that even on Peter’s night of great failures, God’s plans for him are unshaken. This message “Before you fall” is part of the ongoing video sermon series “The Life of Peter: Growing in Grace.”

Sermon vid – John 13:1-17 Why foot-washing – Life of Peter pt 7
John 13:1-17: On the night before the cross, Jesus washes the feet of His disciples in the upper room before Judas’ betrayal. Jesus had walked this earth without being sullied by sin at all, and in His conversation about the event with Peter, He teaches us how to maintain that state of unmuddied fellowship with God and with one another, as we each help the other to stay clean in a messy world, showing each other His mercy. This sermon entitled “Why footwashing?” is part 7 of the ongoing series “The Life of Peter: Growing in Grace.”
