Watch Your Mouth!

The message from the church this morning was on Ephesians 4:25-5:2, and it looked at how God requires us as followers of Christ to treat one another and speak to one another, as well as how He enables us to obey the high standards of behavior He requires of us. The audio, in English and Romanian, is available for your listening here.

Does God Really Hear & Answer?

Today’s message at the church was from Acts 12, and looked at how we need not just to pray, but to trust and expect God to hear our prayers and be our help in time of need. You can listen to the audio message here.

The basis for assurance of salvation

Sunday at the church, I brought this message from Ephesians 2:1-10 on the topic of how can we know for sure we are truly saved by faith in Christ, and how can we know we will keep our salvation to the end.

And, if so, what does that mean to us? Today’s message at the church looked at those questions in a study of Luke 20:39-47. The audio recording, in English and Romanian, is here.

Tonight was another full house for our home fellowship study, of Philippians 4:4-9, looking at the right outlook for us to have as followers of Christ. The study looking at some very important issues for our thought life and prayer life, is available for your listening online here.

Sunday at Five video devotional

“A cleansed temple is a place of fruitful ministry.” Here is the video devotional from the DFW Sunday at Five June 6, 2010. It looks at Luke 19 and Jesus’ cleansing of the temple, making it a place of fruitful ministry, and how that relates to us and His ability to purify us for His glory in the lives of those people we meet.
It is also a sort of “object lesson” looking at a church where they turned their temple into a “den of thieves.”
If, after viewing this six-minute video devotional, you would like to study the passage covered more deeply, you can listen to the full-length audio sermon I preached on the passage earlier this year by clicking here.

If the video above will not play on your computer, you can also see another version of it on YouTube here:

Spiritual Birth

When you were born physically, your spirit was not alive but dead in sin. In today’s message at the church, we looked at John 3, and Jesus’ explanation to Nicodemus of his need to be “born again” — spiritually born alive from heaven, and what that means. The gospel message is available for your listening here, in English and Romanian.
